From 16–18 June, AQUA METERING participated in the WELMEC Working Group 13 meeting, dedicated to water and heat meters and the future of the European Legal Metrology framework.
WELMEC (European Cooperation in Legal Metrology) brings together the national authorities responsible for legal metrology across EU and EFTA countries, providing a key platform for the harmonisation and development of European metrology legislation.
💧 AQUA was represented by Maika Haddad as Secretary General and was pleased to see several AQUA member companies actively contributing to the discussions throughout the meeting.
👉 Discussions focused on key topics including the revision of the Measuring Instruments Directive (MID), the evolution of WELMEC guidance documents, standardisation activities and the digitalisation of measuring instruments.
AQUA remains committed to actively contributing to the development of a harmonised and future-oriented European metrology framework.
