The Communication & Security WG represents the interests of its AQUA members in the field of communication, including communication with meters, communication with gateways and communication with auxiliary sensors.
This team exchanges information, promotes open, multi-vendor system and interface standards for smart metering, ensuring interoperability to compliant products. Furthermore, monitors closely, exchanges and supports relevant standardization organizations and technical regulatory bodies, in particular CEN, CENELEC, OMS, WIZE, MIOTY, LoRaWAN, ETSI, Welmec, RED, GDPR, 3GPP.
Last but not least, the team represents the interests of its members to policy-makers, ministries, relevant federal and state authorities, standardization bodies, and encourages partnership exchanges with other stakeholders such as FARECOQAZ, ESMIG, legal and notified bodies.
