Another inspiring AQUA METERING Executive Committee & General Assembly has come to an end in the beautiful city of Lisbon.
A heartfelt thank you goes to JANZ and the entire organizing team for their outstanding hospitality and impeccable organization. Every detail was thoughtfully planned, creating the ideal environment for productive discussions, valuable exchanges and meaningful networking.
Over the course of two days, members explored some of the most important topics shaping the future of the water metering sector, including the Measuring Instruments Directive (MID), the Drinking Water Directive (DWD) and Europe’s growing focus on water resilience. These strategic discussions once again highlighted the essential role our industry plays in supporting a smarter, more sustainable and resilient water future.
Yet AQUA METERING has always been about much more than technical meetings.
It is about bringing together people, ideas and companies. It is about strengthening relationships, sharing experiences and creating opportunities for collaboration that reinforce AQUA’s position as the leading European association for the water and thermal energy metering sector.
Beyond the working sessions, participants had the opportunity to experience the flavours of Portuguese cuisine and enjoy an unforgettable catamaran cruise along the Tagus River.
As we sailed beneath Lisbon’s iconic 25 de Abril Bridge, the symbolism was impossible to ignore. While the bridge connects the two sides of the river, AQUA builds bridges every day—between ideas, people and companies across Europe. Those connections are the true strength of our Association and the foundation on which future innovation and cooperation are built.
